Jackie and Simon wanted to do their engagement session in New York City, and with good reason. The day I met up with them, we started on the Lower East Side at the restaurant they first met at, and walked down the block to a place in the sidewalk where they carved their initials together. I loved how they chose spots that have significance to them. Noting beats the grit and grafitt of downtown, but we had more places to be, so we took some shots and headed for the subway. We worked our way up to Times Square for some classic busy city shots. Sometimes you forget how busy Times Square actually is, so we didn’t last long before heading over to Central Park for more photos. I think this was my favorite part of the session. Jackie and Simen looked so great in their formalwear, and the greenery and backdrop of Central Park complimented them perfectly. Walking around with a photographer following them – I think some people thought they were celebrities! Jackie and Simen are easy going, fun to be with, and a pleasure to shoot. Jackie was the ultimate trooper walking all over town in her heels. I can’t wait to shoot their wedding this Summer.
