Last weekend I found myself traveling up to Boston for Courtney + Mark’s engagement session. The drive was uneventful, the weather was perfect, and they are an awesome couple. We started in their adorable backyard with their even more adorable dog, Lucy. I love that they planned part of their session around their sweet girl. She was so excited we were there and actually seemed happy to have her picture taken. She is seriously smiling in some of them! She definitely won over the heart of this cat lover.
Next we headed over to Beacon Hill for some portraits on what has to be the quaintest, most charming street in America: Acorn Street. It’s a narrow cobblestone street, just one short block of row houses. It’s incredibly picturesque – and I could not get over the pretty dog who was snoozing in front of her house. Apparently her name is Callie and she’s out there almost everyday (thanks google!). Those cobblestones are no joke to walk on, by the way. From there we headed over to the Charles River Esplanade, just in time for a beautiful sunset. Those might be my favorite photos from the session. I just love the way Courtney and Mark are looking at each other. It was the perfect ending to our day. A special thanks for my Boston tour guide & second shooter Vincent Hohn, and Courtney and Mark’s amazing wedding planner Dev at Freckles, Wit & Co. I can’t wait to get the band back together for their wedding in November!
