In June I had the pleasure of capturing Juliet + Dan’s wedding day at the Shadowbrook in Shrewsbury, NJ. I loved meeting this couple. They are truly as sweet and as kind as they look. All morning I had been watching the weather report, hoping the rain would stay away. It was a little misty, so the ceremony was moved inside. The couple stayed very calm and easy going while deciding what to do about the ceremony. It was a good thing they moved it inside because there was a massive downpour right after it started! Shortly later the sun was back out, and we were able to go outside for the portraits. This was great news to me, because the Shadowbrook has beautiful grounds and I was so happy we were able to use them as a backdrop. I love the beautiful pinks and greens everywhere. The landscaping is very lush. During our portrait time I observed this couple and learned that no one makes Juliet smile quite like Dan. They are so complementary to each other and make a wonderful couple. This feeling was reaffirmed by the thoughtful, heartwarming toasts given in their honor at the reception. This is a couple that is surrounded by a lot of love. Halfway through the party, Juliet slipped away to change into a second gorgeous wedding dress. This was another pleasant surprise to me. On her way back into the reception I asked the newlyweds to stop for some quick portraits on the stairs, and I loved how they turned out. It was nice to have a moment alone with them towards the end of the day like this, when everything has gone smoothly and they can really relax and soak it all in. I really enjoyed watching this couple interact throughout the day and seeing their small moments together. They treat each other with so much kindness and respect, I know they will have a long and happy marriage. Congratulations Juliet + Dan!!!
