And then there was Jackie and Simen. I cannot say enough about this couple. You may remember them from their cool nyc engagement session. They got married in June at the Westin in Morristown and it was perfect. The hotel room had the most beautiful light and Jackie was glowing in it. She is one of the funniest people I have ever met and she had me laughing all day long. She is the tops. Simen is also the tops. He’s from Norway, so there were a lot of guests who traveled super far to share in their day. They had their first look at the pretty Acorn Hall in Morristown, where we also did their portraits. Luck was on our side, because as soon as we finished the portraits it started pouring rain. I can only imagine what would have happened if the ceremony stayed outside. Speaking of their ceremony, it was one of the most touching I have seen, and during parts of it I may have been ugly crying. I pulled myself together because it was time to party. So much about their reception was so personalized and I loved it. They had hand painted little boxes that were the place cards, they had a kick ass corn hole/drinking game they made, as well as a pretty rad photo booth they put together. A lot of work went into it all. Jackie and Simen had their first dance to the Arctic Moneys “I Wanna Be Yours.” SO COOL. Also, go download it. After some A+ toasts from their siblings, they headed upstairs to change into highly elaborate outfits for their Korean ceremony. This ceremony (although much shorter) was also a crowd pleaser. They re-entered the party to music from “Game of Thrones” wearing crowns because they are fancy like that. They made a nice toast to their friends and family and then got serious with their dancing. This wedding was so special and so fun and I am really happy I got to be a part of it. I know Jackie and Simen are going to have a long, happy marriage full of love and laughter. Congratulations to you both!
