From the moment I met Mela and Jan I knew two things: that they were really nice, good people, and that they were totally in love. I think gotten to know them pretty well and I’ve learned that they are also incredibly thoughtful, generous, fun people to be around. They were married earlier this summer at the gorgeous Jericho Terrace in Long Island. They had a quick first look by the lake in Eisenhower Park, and then we dashed off for the ceremony at the venue. The room they were married in was really beautiful, and complemented their ceremony perfectly. One part of their ceremony that I really loved was a Filipino tradition where they braided a symbolic cord together. After they said “I do,” we popped outside for some more portraits. Next thing I knew, the reception was starting. I headed to another gorgeous room, with a huge domed glass ceiling that opened up to the sky, with an enormous dance floor. Mela and Jan’s families wasted no time in hitting the dance floor. I was amazed by the sheer volume of people dancing as well as what fantastic dancers they had at their wedding! Mela and Jan were surrounded by so many people with such joy for them, ready to celebrate their big day. It was a really nice day to be a part of. They were such a nice couple to be with on their wedding day, and were a pleasure to get to know this past year. I wish them my sincerest congratulations and can’t wait to see what the future holds for them!
