When Kelly and Chris got married in August, it was pure magic. They got married at the Farmstead Golf and Country Club in Lafayette, NJ. This is now one of my very favorite wedding venues. The grounds are filled with rolling hills, greenery and gorgeous wildflowers, which complemented Kelly and Chris’s day perfectly. They were married outside in a touching, sun-filled ceremony overlooking a lake. It was so beautiful and personal. This was one of the most intimate feeling weddings I’ve had the pleasure to photograph, and it was filled with lots of little special things.
The couple enjoys hiking and birdwatching, so there were hints of it incorporated into their day, from the vintage binoculars, to their centerpieces, to the white paper birds hanging above where they said “I do.” A collection of postcards Chris had sent to Kelly while traveling decorated the reception room, along with colorful flowers and the prettiest wedding cake ever. This couple is so down to earth, funny, and in love. Their easy going personalities really showed through their wedding, and I am happy to report a cat was even in attendance. The icing on the cake was the beautiful supermoon that night. Their day was un-stressful (if that’s a real word), full of joy, good music, and the love of their family and friends. Kelly and Chris make a beautiful couple, and I am so glad I got to know them and witness this special event in their lives. I know they will have a happy, solid marriage, and I can’t wait to see what their future brings. Congratulations to this happy couple!
