When I met them last summer, I knew they were cool. After their two part engagement session, I liked them even more, but nothing prepared me for how awesome their wedding would be. Lauren + Fernando were married in November at the Shadowbrook in Shrewsbury, NJ. I’m not sure if they made it official, but I saw the theme of the day as red lips/big beard. From their stationary, to marquee lights, to Photo Booth props, and even cookies(!) – those lips and that beard were everywhere. It was fitting and it was amazing. It was a cold day, but these two were troopers, even holding their ceremony outside at night. I was so glad they opted to shoot outside, because the timing was perfect and there was the most beautiful sunset during their portraits, which created the coolest sun flare. Their ceremony was also incredibly unique and romantic, lit by only a few lights, which set a really nice mood. From there it was time to party, and party did they ever! After some touching toasts from friends and family, Lauren + Fernando hit the dance floor and so did their guests. These people really knew how to cut a rug, and the dance floor was never empty. I had such a fantastic time at their wedding and getting to know Lauren + Fernando this past year – I wish them the best of luck in their marriage! A special shoutout goes to my second shooter on this wedding, whose work is mixed in with mine below. Thank you Liz for your amazing work!
