Lauren and Bryan got married on a beautiful November day at the Hotel Du Village in Bucks County. It’s a historic french country estate right outside of New Hope. It was such a romantic venue, with wonderful opportunities for photos. Lauren got ready at a charming lake house nearby, while Bryan got ready at the hotel. After everyone was ready to go, we did a first look at the venue. Lauren and Bryan met many moons ago at UConn and settled down together in Hoboken. Getting to know them over the past year plus has been great. They are both smart and super funny, and Lauren has excellent taste and impeccable attention to detail, as you’ll see in the photos below. Their ceremony took place in a beautiful room in front of a fireplace where they exchanged the most heartfelt vows. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed an indoor/outdoor cocktail hour, complete with fire pits. I definitely had my work cut out for me, because this wedding had some of the prettiest details I’ve ever photographed. From the flowers and rings, to the incredible reception space, it was a lot of fun to photograph. It was the first time I’ve ever seen dinner rolls wrapped like tiny presents. No detail was forgotten. There was candles and flowers galore. Guests could even make smores outside! A few things that made a real impression on me were the strawberry frosted donuts (and oreos) and tiny knitted llama christmas ornaments as favors. It turns out llamas are a sign of love and endurance, which was the perfect way to commemorate their special day. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for this lovely couple.
