I am a big believer in albums. I love them and encourage all of my couples to strongly consider purchasing a wedding album. As a bride and groom, a quality wedding album is one of the few items you can’t just go online and purchase yourself. Sure, you can go to a site like Shutterfly or Snapfish, but these albums are not made to stand the test of time, nor is the print quality very good. I think of a wedding album as your first family heirloom, and there’s definitely something to be said for the value of holding a handmade album in your hands. Of all the things you’ll spend money on your for wedding day, your photography is the one you keep and continue to look at for years to come. Your photos from the biggest day of your life deserve to be displayed in a way that does justice to them. It’s something you can share with future generations, enjoy on anniversaries, and look at when computers no longer have USB ports.
After doing on a ton of research on professional grade wedding albums, I selected a company that creates quality, reasonably priced handmade albums produced in the USA. I love their thick pages, the variety of sizes and cover options they offer, and the endless ways you can customize them. After selecting your favorite images, I custom design each album and after your approval, it comes to you with a nice box to store it in for generations to come. For my samples I chose an 8 x 12 light blue linen album and a 10 x 10 brown vegan leather album. I think both albums are beautiful. The center seams are perfectly flush (unlike my own wedding album), the colors are spot on, and the books feel wonderful in your hands. Albums can be purchased at a discount at the time your wedding package is booked, or when life is less hectic after your wedding day. Regardless of whether you get an album, after your wedding you’ll still receive a cool glass box with a crystal USB and some prints to enjoy!
