This weekend I took part in a shoot in the Poconos with my local Shoot and Share group. It was so much fun to work with other photographers and the folks putting it together did a beautiful job. Josh and Kaitlin were so sweet, obviously totally in love, and made for great models. They are getting married later this year in Colorado. From the looks of things here, I think Kaitlin is going to make a gorgeous bride! Cheers to the couple and all the vendors who helped out. Here’s the roll call of wonderful people who made it all come together:
Next week, I am headed to the Poconos for a Jessica Oh Photographyworkshop. I am so excited I can barely contain myself. It’s going to take place at Jessica’s home, a 100 year old yellow farm house complete with cats, a dog, and ducks. We will be doing some styled shoots and learning a whole LOT about wedding photography. I have admired her as an artist for a few years, and can’t wait to meet her and see her in action. Her work is Awesome (with a capital A) – you should definitely check it out. In the meantime, I was always disappointed that our wedding photographer never got a photo of our invitations/paper for our wedding. We got married in September 2011 at the Newark Museum. So, today I decided to take a crack at it myself to practice taking detail shots for the workshop. At the time we got married I also forgot to order an envelope with our name on it to show the fancy schmancy calligraphy, so that feels like a bummer. If you like our invitations, here’s a link to the designer. They did a wonderful job and also made silhouettes of our cats, flower girls & ring bearer. Super nice people.
This is my super awesome web designer/husband Matthew. He has proven himself the most patient man in the world, as he spent an endless amount of time building this website for me. When he’s not making updates or changes for me, he works as a web developer/designer at a design firm in Manhattan and he also teaches coding at the Pratt Institute.
